Baked Brie Bliss for the Holidays

Baked brie is the ultimate holiday showstopper—oozy, golden, and endlessly versatile. Whether you crave sweet, savory, or a little of both, these recipes will elevate your appetizer game and impress every guest.

Cranberry Walnut Glazed Brie

Ingredients (serves 4–6)

  • 1 wheel Supreme Mini Brie (7 oz)
  • 1/4 cup dried cranberries, chopped
  • 3 tbsp walnuts, toasted and chopped
  • 1 1/2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 1/2 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 1/2 tsp unsalted butter
  • Pinch of sea salt and black pepper
  • Optional: a few drops of apple cider vinegar or orange zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place brie on a parchment-lined ovenproof dish and score the top slightly.
  2. Melt butter in a skillet over medium-low heat. Add thyme (30 sec), then walnuts (1 min). Stir in cranberries, maple syrup, salt, and pepper; simmer 1 min until syrupy. Add vinegar or zest if using.
  3. Spoon mixture over brie. Bake 15–18 min until the cheese softens and slightly sags.
  4. Let cool 3–4 min. Garnish with thyme sprigs and a drizzle of maple syrup. Serve warm with bread, crackers, or apple slices.

Smoked Bacon Brie

Ingredients (serves 4–6)

  • 8 oz Fiorella Triple Cream Brie
  • 3 slices applewood bacon, diced
  • 1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp dry hard cider (or dry white wine)
  • 1/2 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp honey (optional, if onions are sharp)
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • Sea salt and cracked black pepper
  • To serve: crusty baguette, sliced pear or apple, fresh thyme sprigs

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place brie on parchment in a small ovenproof dish and score the top lightly.
  2. Crisp bacon in a skillet over medium heat. Remove, leaving 1 tsp fat.
  3. Caramelize onions in fat and butter for 12–15 min until golden. Deglaze with cider; reduce until syrupy. Stir in vinegar, thyme, and honey (if desired). Season to taste.
  4. Top brie with onion mixture and bacon. Bake 10–12 min until the cheese softens and just begins to ooze.
  5. Serve on a warm wooden board, topped with thyme sprigs. Pair with crusty bread and pear slices.

Why Baked Brie Works Every Time

Baked brie is more than indulgence—it’s a blank canvas for festive flavors. Sweet, savory, or a little of both, it transforms a simple cheese wheel into a centerpiece that’s as beautiful as it is delicious. Prep ahead, bake when guests arrive, and watch the ooze steal the show.
