Urgent Warning: Massive Cheese Recall of 1.5 Million Bags

More than a million bags of shredded cheese from major U.S. retailers have been voluntarily pulled due to possible metal fragments. The recall began in early October after a supplier reported foreign material in low-moisture part-skim mozzarella used by Great Lakes Cheese Co. The FDA has since reclassified the situation as a Class II recall, meaning the products could cause temporary or reversible health issues.

The company says all recalled items were removed from shelves months ago, but the FDA’s investigation is still active—so it’s worth checking your fridge.
