As the industry looks ahead to 2026, Norseland is stepping into the year with clear momentum. Fresh off a strong appearance at the Winter Fancy Faire, the company is building on that energy with new products, updated packaging, and a broader vision for growth.

At the show, Norseland unveiled what it described as a refreshed playbook for Jarlsberg. The focus is simple: modernize the look, expand usage occasions, and reconnect with today’s shoppers without losing the brand’s roots.
Front and center were the new 6-ounce Chunk formats in Original and Protein-Lite, along with the relaunch of 7-ounce Slices, also available in both varieties. The smaller Chunk size is designed to move Jarlsberg beyond the cheese board and into everyday life. Think quick snacks, lunchbox additions, or melting into weeknight recipes. It is a practical format that meets consumers where they are cooking and eating.
The Protein-Lite Chunk speaks directly to current demand for higher-protein, lower-fat options. Each serving delivers 9 grams of protein and contains more than 50 percent less fat than traditional Jarlsberg, giving retailers a way to satisfy better-for-you shoppers without sacrificing flavor.
Packaging plays a key role in this next chapter. The updated design leans into Jarlsberg’s Norwegian heritage, spotlighting the familiar logo while calling out attributes that resonate at shelf: naturally lactose-free, grass-fed, and a good source of protein. Bright, contemporary visuals and an accessible price point aim to bring younger consumers into the fold while reinforcing loyalty among longtime fans.
Underneath the refresh, the core promise remains unchanged. Quality, consistency, and simple ingredients continue to define Jarlsberg’s sweet, nutty profile. With sharper positioning and more versatile formats, Norseland appears poised to carry that legacy into a new generation of shoppers.
