Oregon’s Biggest Cheese Festival of the Year Is Back (and It’s Deliciously Serious)
Oregon’s Biggest Cheese Festival of the Year Is Back (and It’s Deliciously Serious)
A weekend in Central Point is about to turn into a full-on dairy-led takeover as the Oregon Cheese Festival returns April 25–26 at the Jackson County Fairgrounds.

Think farmer’s market energy, but dialed up with serious artisan credentials. What started as a regional celebration has grown over two decades into one of the country’s biggest cheese-forward gatherings—pulling in cheesemakers, winemakers, brewers, and specialty food producers from across Oregon and beyond.
The setup is simple but dangerously effective: walk in hungry, leave with strong opinions about alpine-style wheels and a newfound respect for small-batch everything. Expect tables stacked with local cheeses, craft beverages poured by the glass, and food carts designed for strategic grazing rather than restraint.
It’s not just tasting either—this is a buy-as-you-go, talk-to-the-maker, “how did they even get this flavor” kind of event. The vibe leans community-first, with producers showing off the best of the region while visitors essentially eat their way through Oregon’s edible identity.
