Peppercorn Meets Double Cream in Fromager d’Affinois’ Latest Launch

French cheesemaker Fromagerie Guilloteau has unveiled a refreshed version of its Fromager d’Affinois Peppercorn Blend, giving the brand’s famously silky double-cream cheese a bold, peppery twist.

The updated recipe blends five different peppercorns—white, pink, black, green, and Jamaican—directly into the milk during production. The result? A balanced warmth that settles into the cheese’s buttery, slightly sweet profile instead of overpowering it.

First introduced in 2025, the Peppercorn Blend now features the signature thin rind fans expect from the classic Fromager d’Affinois lineup, bringing the flavored variety even closer to the original’s melt-in-your-mouth style. The new recipe is expected to arrive in grocery stores and specialty cheese shops nationwide this summer.

The launch also lands as Fromagerie Guilloteau celebrates 30 years of exporting its cheeses to the U.S.—three decades of very good excuses to eat more creamy French cheese.

Peppercorn Blend joins other flavored favorites in the lineup, including Truffle, Garlic & Herbs, and Red Chili Pepper. Like the rest of the collection, it’s made in the French countryside using the company’s ultrafiltration process, which helps create that ultra-rich, velvety texture cheese lovers know instantly.

And yes, this one sounds dangerously snackable. Melt it into cacio e pepe, layer it onto a ham baguette, or let it slowly melt over a hot ribeye instead of compound butter. Cheese counter main character energy.

Fromager d’Affinois Peppercorn Blend is also vegetarian friendly and lactose-free, with less than 0 ounces of lactose per 3.5-ounce serving.
