Stilton Week runs October 10–18, bringing Britain’s beloved blue cheese into the spotlight with a nationwide push to get more shoppers tasting it.
Stilton may be one of Britain’s most recognizable cheeses, but for many shoppers, it remains firmly associated with the Christmas cheeseboard. Its bold flavor can also make it a tough sell to those who assume it’s simply not for them. Research from Clawson Farms found that two-thirds of people who say they don’t like Stilton have never actually tried it.
Clawson Farms and Specialty Food created Stilton Week to broaden the cheese’s appeal, challenge common assumptions and encourage more shoppers to experience its range of flavors and uses.
Taking place October 10–18, the free-to-join campaign will bring together 100 independent food retailers, including delis, farm shops and food halls. Participating businesses will offer tastings, in-store promotions and creative merchandising designed to encourage trial and show off Stilton’s versatility.
The goal is simple: get Stilton out from behind its Christmas-only reputation and onto more tables throughout the year.
